Dictionary Definition

Meaning:

Noun – sound reflection, resonance, sympathy or empathy with a feeling or opinion, response or reaction of the public.

Verb – to resound, to reflect, to resonate, to empathize.

Field of Application: Rendering, CAD, Actual Object

Concept

A good design should resonate with its users.

A good design should allow users to empathize with the designer’s intention.

A good design should reflect the users’ feedback and reactions.

Therefore, every truly meaningful design must contain an “echo.”

B. Submission of Entries

Submission Deadline: Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. (Korea Standard Time)

(1) Rendering

Requirements:

① Complete the application form for the 25th INTERNATIONAL JEWELRY DESIGN CONTEST.

② Submit a digital image of a color pencil, poster color, or watercolor sketch.

(Please attach the images to the application form in accordance with the submission format.)

(2) CAD

Requirements:

① Complete the application form for the 25th INTERNATIONAL JEWELRY DESIGN CONTEST.

② Submit a computer design – 3D rendering image.

(Please attach the images to the application form in accordance with the submission format.)

(3) Actual Pieces

Requirements:

① Complete the application form for the 25th INTERNATIONAL JEWELRY DESIGN CONTEST.

② When applying from overseas with an actual object, please send a digital image of the design by e-mail.

(Images must be in JPEG format, at least 300 dpi, and 210 × 297 mm in size (A4).)

All winners of the above prizes will be rewarded with certificates of award.

There is no limit to the number of winners selected.

Certificates of award are scheduled to be issued by e-mail in January 2026.

The Korea Jewelry Design Association will not be responsible for failed e-mail delivery if the address is incorrectly written on the application form for the 25th International Jewelry Design Contest.
